Tofu in mango sauce

Tofu in mango sauce

Preparation time: 20 minutes

Rations: 4

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 blocks of firm tofu
  • 1 mango
  • Soy sauce
  • Lemon or lime juice
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 small piece of fresh ginger
  • 3 tablespoons of canned coconut milk
  • Cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Cornstarch
  • Salt
  • Add the mango sauce and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the tofu and sauté for another 5 minutes.

PREPARATION

  1. Wrap the tofu in a kitchen towel and press to remove all the liquid.
  2. Cut the tofu into cubes and place them on a plate. Add a generous splash of soy sauce and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Coat the tofu in cornstarch and sauté in a pan with oil until golden brown. Set aside.
  4. In a blender, combine the mango, coconut milk, lemon juice, salt, and spices. Blend well.
  5. Grate the garlic and ginger and sauté them in the pan for a few minutes.
